John
Grant - Love Is Magic (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
The
album’s title track earned spotlights everywhere from Pitchfork,
NPR, Stereogum + more. Grant has shared the song’s
music video HERE.
Directed by Fanny Hoetzeneder, the canine-friendly clip is a
snapshot of unconditional love, soundtracked by Grant’s epic
electro-march. Other tracks on the album include “He’s Got His
Mother’s Hips” (video HERE),
“Is He Strange” (video HERE)
and “Touch & Go” (audio HERE).
Love Is Magic was produced by Grant alongside analogue
synth expert/collector Benge and Paul Alexander of Midlake.
The album fully embraces electronic music in its many forms
in a way Grant has only flirted with previously, jumping from
'80s glimmer pop to cheeseball serenades to vitriolic political
commentary.
