The OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival is South Florida's premier LGBTQ+ cultural arts event, originating from the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (1998) and the Fort Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (2008). These two iconic festivals merged under one dynamic brand, reflecting our vibrant, multicultural audience and international recognition.

As a critically acclaimed platform, OUTshine is more than just a film festival - it's an immersive experience designed to inspire, entertain, and educate. Our mission is to foster community and celebrate LGBTQ+ stories through diverse films, videos, and media that explore historical and contemporary perspectives.
